(Portland, OR) April 30, 2021 – Medical Teams International, a Pacific Northwest-based humanitarian organization, is pleased to announce that Mike Hogan is its new Vice President of Marketing & Development.

Mike has extensive strategic leadership skills and the non-profit philanthropy experience and passion needed to lead and inspire Medical Teams’ Marketing & Development team. He worked in development for International Justice Mission (IJM) for 11 years, playing an instrumental role in growing the organization from $18 million to $70 million in private income.  After serving with IJM, Mike joined Habitat for Humanity in Portland, directing its development team and overseeing major gifts, annual giving, corporate, foundations, digital marketing, and a capital campaign.

“Mike is a highly collaborative, creative, skilled, and an energetic team leader,” said Martha Newsome, Medical Teams President & CEO. “He enjoys raising resources for a cause that matters, is committed to justice and diversity, and will effectively build on the strong foundation in Marketing & Development already established at Medical Teams.”

Mike joins Medical Teams at a critical juncture in its history, as it continues to grow the depth of resources needed to triple its impact and reach more people in crisis with life-saving medical care. The organization is currently in a 5-year growth strategy requiring strong leadership and innovative approaches to fundraising and brand-building. By 2024, Medical Teams plans to triple its capacity to respond to sudden onset disasters, triple the number of refugees and displaced people it serves, and triple the number of vulnerable people it serves in the U.S.

Mike holds an MBA from Santa Clara University and is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz.
