(Portland, OR) September 8, 2021 – Medical Teams International, a global humanitarian relief organization, is pleased to announce the appointment of four new members to its board of directors. They include Dametra Johnson-Marletti, Lars Gustavsson, Reagan Cannon, and Dr. E. Anne Peterson.

Dametra Johnson-Marletti currently serves as Corporate Vice President of Category Management for Microsoft’s digital storefronts, including Stores on Microsoft.com, Windows and Xbox. In her role, Dametra oversees a multibillion-dollar business, with a global team focused on delivering digital commerce growth and connecting tens of millions of customers to great content and services.  During her 20-year tenure at Microsoft, Dametra has helped shape strategy for several critical products and launches across both commercial and consumer businesses. Throughout her tenure with Microsoft, Dametra has brought a passion and commitment for coaching and mentoring women and people of color to succeed at every level of the organization. She is an active thought Leader in driving company-defined efforts around diversity and inclusion and has proven success in building highly diverse and high impact performing teams.

Lars Gustavsson has spent most of his professional life working in the overseas development assistance industry. He has led many “Build-Operate-Transfer” efforts ranging from small company start-ups, to consortia and coalitions, to major organizational functional change efforts, to academia and new degree programs, to major complex relief efforts, to major infrastructure projects. Lars recently worked as Advisor to the President of Walla Walla University for Strategy and Innovation, while also working as an independent author and speaker, drawing from his 35 years deeply engaged in global development issues. Lars spent about 18 years with World Vision International, the most recent role serving as Chief Futurist and Vice President of the Office of Global Strategy.

Reagan Cannon brings executive experience leading multifaceted organizations comprised of business strategy, technical product development, and large-scale global operations. She has consistently created shareholder value through record breaking sales results and multi-million dollar cost savings initiatives, all while maintaining best-in-class customer satisfaction scores. With over 20 years of leadership experience, Reagan has led teams in multiple industries including wireless, streaming media, workplace virtualization, and e-commerce. She has been an Amazon executive since 2017,  and is currently the leader over  executive leadership development, coaching, onboarding, and mentoring for tens of thousands of supervisors worldwide.

Dr. E. Anne Peterson is a senior C-suite executive with experience in global health leadership, policy, strategy, and direct program implementation. Her abiding interest is to see neglected global health issues addressed effectively, efficiently, and in culturally appropriately ways to bring sustainable and transformative improvements in health for those most in need.  She was previously Assistant Administrator of the USAID’s Global Health Bureau, Virginia State Health Commissioner, consultant for CDC and WHO, research professor at George Washington University and Vice Dean for the Ponce Health Sciences University and C-suite executive in programs for World Vision International. Most recently she directed the billion-dollar AmeriCares health program portfolio in emergency response, access to medicine, and US and global programs in clinical services. She is a public health physician trained at the Mayo Clinic and Emory University.
