Mary’s Place helps hundreds of women and families move out of homelessness into more stable situations. They keep struggling families together, inside and safe when they have no place else to go, providing resources, housing and employment services, community, and hope.

“Keeping our staff and guests healthy during this pandemic is our number one priority,” said Marty Hartman, Mary’s Place Executive Director. “We’re so grateful to the frontline workers at Medical Teams International for providing this critical testing and support.”

Medical Teams is a global disaster response and humanitarian agency dedicated to boldly breaking barriers to health and restoring wholeness in a hurting world. Earlier this month, Medical Teams took their mobile COVID-19 testing van on the road with the purpose to test vulnerable communities throughout the Greater Seattle area. Since beginning COVID-19 testing in March 2020, the nonprofit has participated in screening over 1,000 patients for the coronavirus.

The need for medical and dental professional volunteers for both Medical Teams’ mobile dental and COVID-19 testing continues. Those interested in getting involved can click here for more information.
