At Medical Teams International, our commitment to providing loving care begins with our invaluable employees. The following information outlines typical benefits available for US-based, regular employees scheduled 30 hours or more per week. Actual benefits may be prorated for other than full-time work.

Medical / Dental / Vision 100% of the premium covered for the employee and 50% for dependents (dependent coverage available until age 26). Note: A spouse eligible on another employer plan or other coverage will not qualify for the 50% employer premium share.
Life Balance membership included in Medical Wellness tools, news, and discounts
Life Insurance Medical Teams pays the premiums for a $50,000 policy and an additional $50,000 Accidental Death and Dismemberment Policy. Employee can purchase additional life insurance for themselves and dependents.
Disability Insurance – short and long term Employee participation required; premiums paid by employee post-tax; 60% of earnings paid following waiting period.
Flexible Spending Account Employee participation voluntary. Allows pre-tax dollars to be set aside for non-reimbursed health , dependent care, transit, and parking expenses.
Healthcare Spending Account Employee participation voluntary. Allows pre-tax dollars to be set aside for non-reimbursed health and dependent care expenses.
Retirement Plan 401k. Voluntary salary deferrals available from date of hire. Medical Teams contributes after one year: automatic 3% of salary and up to 2% additional match.
Vacation Time 20 days per year (full-time employees), accrual basis
Sick Leave 10 days per year, prorated based on date of hire
Restoration Leave (granted for milestone seniority dates to be used during the anniversary year) 5 years – 10 days
10 years – 15 days
15 years – 20 days
Each successive 5-year milestone – 20 days
Holidays Up to 12 days per year
Paid Parental Leave 12 weeks for birth mothers (short-term disability and 6 weeks bonding leave). 6 weeks bonding leave for fathers and adoptive parents.
Bereavement Leave Up to 5 days paid leave annually
Employee Assistance Plan Confidential counseling and resources on topics such as health, mental health, addiction, caregiving, legal advice, family, grief, and financial issues.
Employee Community Volunteer Program Employees can volunteer up to 8 hours per year with a qualified non-profit.
